Books to read in 2020 – my personal list

I haven’t done the reading list for so long. Mainly because I’ve not been reading a lot recently. Some of the books I’ve purchased a few years ago are still on my shelf untouched. Anyway, my mental health has improved lately and I’m getting back to the activities I once loved much. This is why I want to create a list of books I want to read in 2020. I mean, of course first I’ll read all of my almost new books on my shelf. The list is 100% personal. I’ve browsed through some online book stores and I’ve picked ones I might like.

Fantasy books

I am a fan of fantasy books and I like to read this genre. When there’s magic and dragons then I’m also there. Here, I want to read The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski. Not only because I loved Netflix series but also because I’ve started it and I’ve never finished. Well, and obviously I really like the story. There’s also Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian and A Natural History of Dragons: A Memoir by Lady Trent written by Marie Brennan. I like when the main character is a woman especially in a fantasy novel. I can relive the story myself somehow 😉 I need to mention one more book here and it’s To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo. I’m really interested in a different told story of a Little Mermaid. This can be really interesting.

Literature of manners

There’s a few books I’m curious with here. Tomasz Betcher has written a novel ‘Szczęście z piernika’ and it’s happening during the most wonderful time of a year. Christmas time! The story is about three different people and their paths are crossing some time, and there’s Christmas in the background so yes, I’m falling for it. Also, I couldn’t find the English title (because I guess there isn’t any). Another book I’ve got on my book list is The Stylist by Rosie Nixon and The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary. They both sound pretty light and fun to read. I love these kind of books.

Other books to read

Only one book I have in this category and it’s ‘Kolorowa Rewolucja’ by Dagny Thurmann-Moe. Well, I’d like to add a little colours around me and the book is all about it. The colour design, can you call it that way? I’m really into changing my environment around me and to set it with positive vibes. This book can help me with colors picks and what to do so the place around me is no longer mostly grey.

I think this books list will grow in a time. Firstly, I’ll read what’s still on my previous ‘To read list’ and then I’ll look around new titles I’ve mentioned above. Write down what is on your book list this year?
