It’s been a long time since I wrote here but I am back now. I must say my holiday is coming to an end and tomorrow I’m getting back to work which is making me so unhappy. I’ve relaxed a lot though and I’m motivated and ready for new year. I’ve decided to add some topics I’ll be writing about and see how it’ll go.
I’m a huge fan of board games and I’ve collected a few. The list is still growing and my bank account is definitely not happy about it. Today, I’ve been playing in Arkham Horror: The Card Game made by Fantasy Flight Games.
The boundaries between worlds have drawn perilously thin…
Arkham Horror: The Card Game is a cooperative Living Card Game® set amid a backdrop of Lovecraftian horror. As the Ancient Ones seek entry to our world, one to two investigators (or up to four with two Core Sets) work to unravel arcane mysteries and conspiracies.

Their efforts determine not only the course of your game, but carry forward throughout whole campaigns, challenging them to overcome their personal demons even as Arkham Horror: The Card Game blurs the distinction between the card game and roleplaying experiences.
What is my first impression?
I cannot say I don’t like it but at the same time, I cannot say I like it. It gives me this weird feeling of anxiety mixed with curiosity while playing. I love that it is a card game and that you can improve your game character. Also, knowing that this game just want you to lose gives extra motivation and that you really have to think what you want to do is super challenging and great when you succeed. And trust me succeeding is really hard.
I’ll write more about this game after playing a few more times. Today’s a little sneak peek but for sure I’ll update this post and tell you about the story, cards, characters and many more. Let me know if you’d like to see that kind of posts in the future.
